About a week ago I posted a picture of my latest clock. My wife painted it with nail polish (does well on ABS if you haven’t tried it). As usual, looks worse in pictures because it magnifies, but in person it looks pretty good.

looks like you are under extruding a bit… try 10% more extruing and the gaps should go away. and then us a wapor bath if you are printing in ABS then use a car filler and smooth out any dents and then sand it down and then use car paint to get a shiny glossy look

Yeah this was a little under extruded – and in fact, I had purposely cut it to 90% of the cal value for other reasons --, but actually the photo makes it much more noticeable than it is in real life. In person it looks pretty good. My experience with vapor smoothing is the numbers and tick marks won’t survive the vapor–at least not and keep their shape.

If you try slurry painting. Mix up acetone and abs and make it fairly thick and paint the surface with it and not the numbers on the dial. Then after it has dries smooth it out painting it with acetone

what the size of the clock?

@J_W11 The face is 12cm across and the ring around the outside adds about 2cm so about 12cm or around 5.5 inches if you prefer.
