About health risks of 3D printing from ABS, PLA and other materials

all you need to know about 3d printer safety is dont touch the hot parts.
@Nathan_Walkner has a very valid point.
I just read the article, but there is no “examination” to be found. Just a wall of text, no numbers, no test-description, no measurement-tables, nothing but a long list of scientific papers…
one other problem is that… ABS printing needs stable temperatures. not changing them by changing air supply in the room
Filtering air seems to help a lot with objectionable smells. Aren’t injection molding and extrusion facilities usually well ventilated?
Question is – how does standing next to an ABS print compare to standing next to a busy street at rush hour, in erms of hazard? Or to sitting around a campfire?
Or eating bacon you pan fried yourself, sitting next to someone wearing perfume and smoking? (Has anyone ever analyzed ladies’ cologne as a hazard? Can be much more objectionable than melted ABS.)
The offensiveness or strength of smell doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a possible risk. There are dangerous things that have no scent at all.
