About to begin printing parts for Huxley. What is a better infill for parts. Was thinking of using honeycomb at 40%; but I see some people using rectangular at 100%. Which would you use?
I prefer honeycomb for strong parts
Any pattern over 35% is likely plenty strong enough, 45% + if youd like to overkill it though to be sure.
To be honest in my opinion your perimeter thickness is more important. If you print 35% and 1 or 1.2mm perimeter thickness you won’t have any issues. Might want to bump those numbers up for the extruder but otherwise you should be good.
Thank you!
3 perimeters pla 40-55% in fill, make sure the infill is making the part stronger and not just being in the part by checking that it starts and ends with a wall.
