Ack!, what is going on here!, I was printing flawlessly last night, set this up to print before leaving for work. My partner, working from home, stopped the print and sent these pics over. Between the two of us I’m the only one who works with 3d printing, so he can’t troubleshoot and restart the print. I will have to wait until I get back home to work on it. Any suggestions?
Looks like layers got missed - so, one of three things:
a) something let go of the print bed
b) the z axis over stepped (electrical noise?)
c) a temp jam/skipped steps in the extruder left a major gap in some layers.
The result being that subsequent layers had nothing underneath to support further extrusion and you inadvertently started printing a loofah. Be glad your partner caught it lest it end up looking like @Stephanie_A 's mess…
@Alex_Wiebe Thanks for the heads up - I was just thinking a clogged extruder with terrible timing.
I have never seen so much support material. I think you need a raft for it.
