In looking at this fine example of the OpenRC formula chassis, the top right picture looks so close to a 1:1 F1 car that I’m wondering if anyone’s ever performed any cfd testing on it. Has this thing ever been tested in a wind tunnel, even in software? How would changes in the ‘aero package’, so to speak, change the vehicle dynamics? Full size F1 chassis are very dependent on proper air flow through their various nooks and crannies to perform their best. I guess I’m just riffing, but with this being an open project, are there any engineers out there willing to do any testing to see what the airflow looks like on these babies?
Looking great, details are amazing! It is obvious that a LOT of time was spent on this project.
