I have a situation where I need 2 additional axis in addition to the cartesian X, Y, Z and extruder E0, E1 Axis. I would realize this by connecting additional drivers and 2 new end stops for both new axis.
I have complete freedom on where to connect all the drivers and end stops to the LPC1769, because I design my own custom PCB.
The Question is now, if it is possible to home this two axis, because this is a crucial need for the application. And the idea was to use only the smoothieboard to do this job.
I have a backup solution, that is a workaround with an external uC and signals generated by smoothieboard to command the required actions. But I would really prefer if smoothieboard can handle this part on it’s own.
Any help is appreciated
For those who wonder what I use this for, I will shortly give some insight. I would have two hotends that can be lifted, and put to the specified hight for normal operation. The one that is not used will be lifted to prevent oozing, and avoiding any accidental contact with the print.
