After issues with loosing steps on my K8200 did some voltage tuning and reduced acceleration to 200 mm s^-2.

I also measured the temperatures of the stepper drivers -
Extruder: 67 °C (4.25 V)
Z-Axis: 49 °C (4.25 V)
Y-Axix: 85 °C (5.50 V)
X-Axis: 82 °C (5.50 V)

What is the Limit for the Temperature?
Should I install a fan?

Definitely put some heat sinks on the pololus!

Yes! Heat sinks and a fan.

deffo heat sinks!!! and for the sake of a couple of quid, a fan too. you may even have one to recycle

Voltage tuning? Wouldn’t it be easier to tweak the rate at which the delay between steps is reduced during acceleration in the software?

@James_Luscher , can you explain more in detail? I did the voltage increase and acceleration decrease because it worked for @Luigi_Biondi .

I have no experience with heat sinks (and electronics at all - although we use electronic at work for up to 200°C  - which heat sink should I choose and how to glue it?

Goto any computer store, they sell self sticking heat sync’s (for putting on video card memory back in the day) for like $10.
