After over 2 years of using the Sunhokey acrylic Prusa I3 I upgraded it with an aluminium bed, inductive z sensor, custom designed carriage and managed to upload an optimized Marlin. Took me a few days but it was worth it. Even the print area is bigger because of that tricky carriage design. Auto bed levelling is also quite awesome.
The weird thing was that I had to use two 10K resistors for the voltage divider on the inductive sensor to not to go over 5V with the signal.
If you are hesitating with the upgrade, don’t. There are tons of info on the internet, just go for it.
Thanks. My upgrade is in the works, but I’ll take it off the back burner and add the auto bed leveling in as well.
What your technic for good adesion on the alum. Bed ? tape? Or? Could you give your winning receip!

I went with glass (plus abs juice, for abs print) over alum. Bed but cannot use proxi sensor anymore… thanks
@Robert_Bouchard For PLA I use white glue, for ABS kapton tape + ABS juice.
Thanks Ben Scott
