After some years being skeptical about how well 3d printed air-frames would fly (and most importantly survive landings), I finally got around to designing this parametric flying wing for slope soaring, called Proteus, in OpenSCAD. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it flies and also how well it has survived bad landings and some crashes (having the nose printed in Polyflex helps)! I chose the name because slope soaring is commonly done near the sea and because the design is adaptable to some extent. I learnt a lot about OpenSCAD doing this, but unfortunately much of the code was written before I had learned better ways to do things!
