After watching a few youtube videos on using 3D printers to better teach math I stumbled across this book by Henry Segerman that is designed to do just that. The best part is his book is mostly available online and all of the models he teaches he also makes available at his website and on thingiverse. I highly recommend checking out his 3 Gear models for fun.
