All axes working! I just need to get the extruder/hot-end working correctly!
looking good
it sounds scary =)
When you have printed its successor please do not disassemble this one.
It will be destined for the Logo Hall of Fame.
You need lube… And i think there is a alignment problem
It is quite loud yes!
@Kristian_Myklebust I think you are right about that but it’s not easy working with wood… I am going to rebuild parts of it later on!
@Adrian_Ciubotariu I’m not too sure… The nema 17’s are 1.8 and the others are 7.2. I haven’t put any jumpers on the drivers either so I beleive it is full steps…
@Adrian_Ciubotariu And the steps per mm are 7 for x and y, 38.4 for z and 10 for the extruder
@Adrian_Ciubotariu Ok! I will try out with the jumpers tomorrow. It’s not working quite right at the moment though, don’t know if you have seen my other post…
Ahhh I see what @Rien_Stouten was saying. You’re probably going to want to have this print parts for a new printer rather soon. Lego is probably not the worst thing to build a 3D printer out of, but it’s not hard to do better.
@Michael_Scholtz Yea it’s not great but it will hopefully work! I am on a tight budget so this is the best I could do with what I had… I am going to print new parts as most people have suggested though so it will get much better!
go look at some of my earlier posts at what my 1st printer looked like, I kept it like that to show people how it started.
