All most done, needs some tuning
What do you mean by that?
@Stephanie_A , the x rods are supposed to be perfectly parallel with the grid lines on the bed. That is what I was showing in that picture. They were off a little. So I needed to tune the frame connection to the y bed to line it up. Then I needed to retune the y rods for the bed as they too went non parallel.
@Jacob_Tozer , the y frame assembly was brutal. But once you know what you were looking for it got better. Making everything perfect sucks, it hard to get right. But fun to do. I will say this printer had excellent instructions. Online with high resolution pictures. Color coded arrows and everything. Really worth it. Especially for your first printer.
The instructions might be a bit unclear, but it absolutely doesn’t matter if you actually get X/Y parallel - the firmware will measure and correct for it automatically.
What about a non flat bed? Mine has a little hump in the middle.
also… how do you sync the z motors? That seems like something that need doing…
@Jordan_Cohen The printer has mesh bed compensation to deal with bed irregularities. I believe you run the Z axis against the top holders to align the Z axis.
