Almost finished building the OX controller into a function PC case to have an all in one PC/Controller unit. Everything has gone well except that the solid state relay I am using to power up the OX drivers from the PC 5V line is a dud. So I need to wait for a new one before I can finish it all up. I hate waiting for parts…grrrr.
Update…fixed the SSR by opening the case and fixing a loose wire.
So the controller has the following specs:
PC - Quad core AMD Phenom processor
500W PSU
16 GB RAM
1 Terrabyte HD
DVD Burner
1GB Video card
Wireless Keyboard with trackpad
23" HDMI monitor
Controller: GRBL/Arduino UNO
4X DQ542MA Steppper drivers
24V 14.6A Meanwell PSU
Spindle PSU/Speed controller (600W aircooled spindle)
All of that fits in a nice clean ATX case, everything turns on via the front panel power button.
I really like how it is coming together, will post pics later this week when it is complete.
This is a good idea, looking forward to pics…
@donkjr here is the touchscreen overlay I ordered.
