almost finished with my cnc foam cutter. just need to make z axis motor mounts and couplers.
How long both axis are ?

So does a sheet of foam stand on edge between them and there’s a hot wire or blade that goes across?
It depends on what you want to make as far as standing or flat but there is a hot wire between towers
There is no need in high speed cutting foam, but nema17 is just 0.4Nm so its quiet a bit low i think
Thats mostly abou screws 
My first foam cutter ran nema 17 motors and they would lose steps from time to time and I already had these motors so why not use them. I have dumpster cnc anti backlash nuts and 1/2" x 10 acme thread screws. Besides I would rather over build than need to rework the machine later when I am in the middle of a production run.
