Alpha version of #Mixelate available to try:

Let me know what you think! https://twitter.com/MarkDurbin104/status/710576110430515202/photo/1

Only works with binary STLs at the moment and the UV pattern is fixed at tubular vertical, all to be addressed. Oh, and there are some STL load speed improvements coming as well.

Will this forum become the optimum location to learn of developments for Mixelate? The link does not lead me to a location at which I can sign up for newsletters/email/whatever.

Also, note should be taken that this requires WebGL, unless that’s a given.

When there’s a registration page, I’ll let you know @Fred_U , you can also follow me on twitter @MarkDurbin104 I’m sure I’ll be tweeting about it  Yes, it does use WebGL.

I’ll wait for the page, as I’m not a twit, or whatever one who uses twitter is called.

I had a quick look and IE doesn’t download, Edge doesn’t accept drag and drop, Safari doesn’t show the WebGL window, so please use either FireFox or Chrome!

Touch events are not supported yet, so phones/tablets are out as well. I’ll look at this over the weekend…

Neat!
But when I downloaded the new bear I could not see the texture applied to the model, using Meshlab and Meshmixer to view. The tool could benefit from some help texts and also a reset button. https://twitter.com/DimensionAlley/status/710756645769445376

@DimensionAlley_3D_De Did you set the texture depth to 0? if so, the surface will be in the same place as when you started. Thanks for the other comments, noted.
