And the saga continues. Here’s the old SD3 lying on its side with the acrylic side I had cut 3 years ago removed. Ready to cut out aircraft grade aluminum (yes, I have a lot of it and yes it’s left over from building a plane), is the metal replacement. Why? Why because if I decide to mount a laser in there I don’t want to go blind. That’s why. The walls should be on tomorrow and the board installed. With any luck we can test for motion. I have to design and install a replacement hot end mount in the original carriage before printing can begin. I’m going to use a Bowden set up so that I have room on the carriage for the laser. +Ray Kholodovsky is going to like that hooked up as the optional extruder.
I have a SD2 Pro - I’m in the same boat.
Give my creation life…booohahahahahahahaha!
Just purchased a polycarbonate sheet for the door so that I can use a laser. Woohooo
