My latest creation. Similar to my wireless BlinkyTile Dodecahedron, this is built with a Spark Core with Wi-Fi, 48 RGB LEDs, accelerometer/magnetometer, lipo battery, and charger.

Wow! Great project and it looks fantastic-- like something out of a sci-fi movie!

Very cool, and I love the light diffusion as well.

Very nice indeed !!

What a trip. I wanted to see some sort of alien critter embryo moving around in there.

@marmil you need to get your face closer to the egg to get that embryo moving… :wink:

Excellent! :slight_smile:

@Jason_Coon
Great work and thanks for sharing

I’d love to see that thing rolling down a hill O.o probably have a seizure from the lights, but IT’D BE SO PRETTY!

Would be equally awesome with @marmil 's suggestion if you made moving sprites that were off/blended to make it look as though something were moving around on the inside.

Great work all the same!

Thanks everyone, you really know how to make a person feel great! :slight_smile:

Marc and Jarrod, I’ll have to try to come up with a pattern to pull off that effect, just to make you happy.

Jarrod, right now it’s thin, clear acrylic, so I doubt it would survive the hill. I’m planning to work on a clear/frosted silicone outer shell for added durability. It also does not snap together securely at all. Looking for a more secure shell that snaps or preferably screws together.

very very nice! and what is the fill material? the refraction in it is super…

Thanks, Leo, it’s a 4" styrofoam ball: http://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-%26-Hobbies/Basic-Crafts/Styrofoam/4"---2-Pieces-Styrofoam-Ball/p/21344
