So what are your thoughts on the mostly printed CNC?

@Joe_Spanier ​ first thought even before starting was very heavy. Today still without doing something with it I say it’s an elephant heavy

Heavy isn’t a bad thing for cutting though.

@Joe_Spanier ​ for a router it seems to be great, not sure for 3DP, laser, plotter

It’s perfectly adequate as an entry level CNC. Don’t move it very fast and it cuts fine. You could use it as a low cost transition into a high strength design for example, then keep it for a wood CNC

@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty I’m very interested in building one of these. Any advice? Should I source all the parts myself or buy a kit from the guy that posted it on thingiverse?

@Jonathan If you know this stuff and have sourced/assembled something like this before then go for it, if not then buy it from him. This is so so easy to source and build but then again it all depends on your experience
