Any idea what could be causing the shrinkage or the warpage in the middle.

Any idea what could be causing the shrinkage or the warpage in the middle. It is pla at 200, I have tried my heated bed off, and at 50. I am just getting this printer running a RigidBot and I’ve had problems with it. I printed a part fan ( on Another Printer I have) tried that thinking the pla was too hot and it was shrinking in the middle. But this piece is with the fan on 100% of the time and the bed about 50 Celsius and about 200 on the hot end… I also need to mention I am in the midst of calibrating everything and I run into this problem.

@John_DeMay_Completel , sorry - this post managed to get somehow stuck in our spam/moderation queue. I just approved it – it may get fewer responses than normal :frowning:

Do you have a picture of the machine you could post?

@ThantiK I would have to start another post to put a picture of prnter on. I just tried printing using slic3r at 180 Celsius and still had the same problem. The first few layers seem to be square but then the cube seems to shrink in the middle as its going up… I’m going to try slicing it in Cura, the infill seems like it’s not filling up the whole square

Hmm. What is your infill overlap set to? 15% overlap is typical for PLA.

You could also set your extrusion multiplier to 95% - you might be slightly overextruding

@Jason_McMullan I was thinking about the infill overlap but was using silc3r… Will try to bump up in Cura… Thanks
