Any M3D user here? I’m trying to use Cura but it doesn’t have M3D setting on the list. wonder if anyone know the technical aspect of M3D and can help me fill this out. Thx
If you have the width depth height and nozzle size youre good to go. The rest you can add as you need to. The gantry sizes are only if you want to print objects separately so it knows the clearance

From what I heard about the m3d is it has less room when the nozzle is at the top than when it’s at the bottom. So the build area is like a smaller cube stacked on a bigger cube. So I don’t think there is a way to define that. You’ll have to use the XY of the smaller cube only.
@Brian_Gottlieb_Brict yes you are absolutely correct. I guess that is the consequence of shrinking the unit to as small as they are…
I also think the M3D uses a propriety protocol at the moment, they have said you will be able to drive it with gcode in the future but that doesn’t work at the moment. So cura wouldn’t be any use
The latest beta update did allow opening .gcode file. Buried under “expert” setting…
