Any project based learning or curricula for a first course at the middle years level ?
My book, Mastering 3D Printing, has some ideas and some how-tos…

Thanks Joan. We are looking at 3D as part of a blended delivery program.
@Keith_Murray I’ve taught 3D printing online for two institutions: National University and Pasadena City College, in both cases in classes for their respective extension programs. The need for a book became pretty obvious after the first time.
It’s possible to teach 3D printing entirely online, but you need to do some live synchronous video to make it work well.
Now we’re more in the K-12 space. We have a new book coming out in May called “The New Shop Class: Getting Started with 3D Printing, Arduino and Wearable Tech” which is aimed at helping people figure out how to teach STEM subjects with those technologies.: http://www.apress.com/9781484209059 – also, if you look at my timeline, I just posted a project we did at one of our client schools that might be of interest. Finally, we are consulting for some folks who are organizing a K-12 colloquium August 14-15 in Los Angeles on the same topics, but it looks like that would be a long haul for you (unless you’re going to SIGGRAPH - timing was arranged to catch people right after.)
