Any thoughts as to what is going on with the dashed line here? LW4 seems to be ignoring the thick dashed line in favor of a solid thin one.

LW4 ignores line patterns and line thickness. Inkscape has a Stroke to Path command that can take care of it.

ok, makes sense. Stroke to path it is and I’ll try again.
