any thoughts on debugging a persistent disconnection between the UI and SJPS?

what i am seeing is that the UI disconnects on certain events (holds/alarms etc) and then refuses to reconnect (tick appears, motors jolt and then the tick disappears). nothing can be done to cause a reconnection other than full browser shutdown and restart.

sjps in verbose mode shows nothing untoward.

nothing in the js console either.

this is on mac with both stock 1.94 and 1.94 with my changes for the new buffer flow algorithm. Using chrome but I have seen the same behaviour in safari.

When you say disconnects, do you mean the serial port disconnects or the whole websocket to the server disconnects?

I mean that CP no longer communicates with sjps. The server appears still connected from looking at the terminal.

i have only seen a websocket disconnect when the browser is so overwhelmed from activity it drops. sounds like in your case it is not overwhelmed? could it maybe be the mac version?

That is possible. I do find that CP absolutely murders system resources on my two active laptops.
