I’m surprised at the “focused laser spot size” of ~250 microns… Then again, I just looked up Form1 and it says 300 microns.
Doesn’t that sound… hugely bigger than expected?
Without knowing much about either, the Form1 certainly has a better design (enclosure).
@Diego_Porqueras_Deez spoke to them about this printer. Apparently they are planning to track your resin usage against what you buy from them, and remotely brick the machine if they discover that you are buying it elsewhere. Real class-act.
Also claim to be 10x faster than FDM in ‘speed’…
@Whosa_whatsis with a completely open compute core, I suspect that is quite unlikely.
@Hans_Brakeley did you have specific questions about the two?
@Jason_Kridner no not really, I just meant it will be interesting to see how the user experiences compare when they’re both available.
