Anyone experience with these Better Way (link below) led pixels? They seem to have 16bit grayscale. But I can’t find any information on the chipset or datasheet. They mention the chipset as 8903IC.
The information is a bit mixed up. But the DMX version of there pixels seem to use 10 bit (which they mention on the site as well). For this they seem to use the UCS512 chip (http://www.greeled.net/uploadfile/03/60/6003/21141/10/21/ucs512-chip-datasheet.pdf). Which mentions; “PWM control unit correct 256 gray level as 1024 gray level gamma correction”

Hi Stefan, I’ll answer in English so everyone can follow along. Thanks for your reply. The DiGidot C4 controller seems a nice and complete product especially when controlling pixels from a computer system.
However I’d like to control the pixels directly from a Teensy (I wrote my own effects already in that), putting the C4 in between seems a bit an overkill.
From your brochure I get that they probably refer with 8903 the UCS8903. I found the chinese datasheet (http://www.datasheetspdf.com/datasheet/UCS8903.html).

Do you have a English datasheet available? What is your experience with those pixels, because I’m really interested in the 16bit functionality.

Hi Kasper,
We are a distributor for these pixels, if you like, I can get you some samples. I need to check tomorrow if we have stock. I will get back to you soon!
Hi Stefan, did you happen to have some of those pixels?
