Anyone got any tips or info that might help me out for using Chilipeppr with my Shapeoko2? I left the poor thing idle for a bit, but I hope to get back to it.
So far, I know that Chrome works for me while Firefox and Konqueror do not. I also know that my jog movements can not be a measly 1mm because it just won’t move.
I still have not found the best STL to gcode converter, but I hope to play around with STL modification via OpenSCAD (to subtract it from a block of wood and take the top most points) and then using Cura to slice and see how that works. Any other programs or tips would be appreciated.
What controller are you using? Grbl or TinyG? When you say your jog movements are 1mm, what do you mean? Are you saying your machine just won’t move because it’s rusted over? Or clogged up? Or the motors are broken? Or power isn’t getting to motors?
@jlauer I hear no sound and I don’t think it is moving. I am using a grbl shield. It has “gshield v5b” on it. It came as a kit from Instructables. It will move if I tell it to move 10mm. I don’t think there is any rust anywhere. It was just idle since September and it is aluminum.
Hmm, your best bet might be to take some videos of what you are doing and what you are seeing and then sharing those. It’s hard to understand exactly what you are dealing with.
@Frank_Graffagnino After understanding what browser to use for this, I don’t really have any problems. I am just hoping for tips at this point to make sure that I have good luck going forward.
