Anyone here have a Snapmaker 3D printer yet?

Anyone here have a Snapmaker 3D printer yet? What slicer software do you use with it? The vendor’s own, or has someone tried another slicer with it (Cura, Slic3r, Simplify3d or other)?

Snapmaker is/was a Kickstarter which is now shipping to backers and available for pre-order for regular customers.

I just got my Snapmaker this week and am in the process of assembling it. Highly impressive kit on first impressions, seems rock solid with its massive aluminum construction.

However I don’t yet know how well it prints, because I don’t have access to their slicing/printing software yet… They supposedly sent an invitation/links to download the software, but I don’t seem to have it. Have asked them for it now, of course.

In the mean time I started wondering if anyone has this printer and has tried another slicer software with it? Which slicers work, how to configure them, and other hints, tips or links…?

An update on progress. Got the slicer/printing software, got the printer calibrated and a couple of test prints in. And I’ll say I’m impressed. Even the fast/low quality settings produced better output than I never managed to get out of my old (admittedly cheap and cheerful M3D) printer. Noisy machine though, especially the control module’s cooling fan is a constant noise source, and the linear modules (x, y and z axis) add their own chirping to the choir… But damn the prints look good… (to me at least)

A pic of the assembled machine. Build volume is 12,5cm cubed.

Easy to assemble too, just a matter of using a couple dozen screws to fasten all the components to getting, and to attach the wires to the control unit. The assembly guide is from the Lego school of assembly guides… Packaging of the components is very good too.
