Anyone know any good printer that can print porcelain?.. Good enough for Dental use… Thanks
Out of the box? No. But you should be able to add a syringe-based extruder to practically any machine. And you don’t want to 3D print porcelain for dental use, it’s the wrong application. Dental use should be milled.
I think current use for dental is 3d printing for the mold then cast porcelain. Not sure, but regardless that’s a pro level machine that’s generally beyond the scope of this consumer/home/prosumer interest group.
As an aside, my dentist recently mentioned he tried a 3d printing-based solution and was not satisfied with the quality. He felt it would be better in the near future but not worth his investment this year.
thanks for the info guys
Check out Hyrel3d.com, they have interchangeable extruders of different types. One of them, the EMO-25 can probably print porcelain.
