Anyone know if abs juice can be used as wood paint? I imagine it would be far from cost effective for a large surface, of course.
Wouldn’t the acetone bleach the surface of the wood? Try it on a off cut?
Why would acetone bleach wood?
I’ve tried using ABS juice to reinforce stripped holes with mediocre success, it didn’t bond too well and also ended up being quite very brittle.
Besides, cleaning exotic wood with acetone is sometimes a necessary preparation for coating (on a staircase for example). No problem there.
Never tried it, but seems to me it would break down the fibres… I’m not being snarky, honestly I don’t know either way… Intruiged now, think I’ll try this myself.
