Anyone know of a cheap 200x250mm heated bed? I have given up trying to print on glass with glue stick and figured I would simply add a heated bed. I was looking on aliexpress and didn’t see any.
I have no heated build plate but had great success with blue tape with a single coat of Copydex and it lasts 3 or 4 prints. I just smear on with an old credit card.
(It’s actually a boob inspector card…it’s never worked so I re-purposed!)
Keenovo or Ali Brother Technology will do any size silicone heater. The latter is cheaper.
Just add a correctly sized aluminum plate on top of any pcb you can find (and glass on top of the alu if you want to use any aluminum scrap). I often do this, without any trouble since the alu is extremely conductive.
That size isn’t common for PCB heaters but as the others say you can have one made. Common sizes for PCB heaters are 200x200, 200x300 and 300x300. The silicon heaters from Aliexpress (I use Ali Rubber) can be made to any size though it might take a few days or week more. Makers Tool works has MM2/3 size heaters at about 250 x 315.
Thanks for all the comments everyone. I am just going to start with a simple 200x200 heated bed with an aluminum bed. If I feel like needing more I will order a custom one.
