Anyone know of a supplier that sells affordable Nema17 motor dampers?

Anyone know of a supplier that sells affordable Nema17 motor dampers? The ones I have found so far (can’t remember exact price) were over $10 each if memory serves me right. Chinese suppliers don’t seem to be selling this. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

get a cork pin board from the a £ shop" your equivalent" and make some

I happen to have many of those that i want to get rid of.

Lin Engineering for $8 in Gilroy, call them.

@jinx_OI , not the same. The dampers that @Shai_Schechter is referring to actually separate the motor from the mounting surface. Cork pin board will separate the face of the motor, but the bolts you use to attach it are still going to transfer noise into the frame.

I was thinking of the screw mount issue. What I’ve done for fan dampeners is to make dampening washers for the screws too, to fit under flat washers.

Thingaverse has a few designs.

Sorbothane.com makes some nice isolaters. They’re pretty good with samples. Otherwise, I scavenge from old hard drive mounts.

Astrodyns are the right answer to this, and in bulk they’re around $5.

Please tell me you’re not sourcing parts for deltaprintrs this late in the game.

@Tim_Elmore , why not be sourcing parts this late in the game? DM is always sourcing new stuff. We’re always changing our printers even post-kickstarter in order to make them better.

The right time to source parts in a Kickstarter timeline is before you launch on Kickstarter.

Its a killer. They’re already months late, they need to lock the BoM and ship what they committed to.

@Tim_Elmore This is not for the kickstarter. I saw @ThantiK ask Griffin P a few posts down where he got his motor dampers, so I thought to start a discussion about it. The parts for our kickstarter are already in stock.

@Wayne_Friedt Where did you happen to get yours?

@Shai_Schechter I happened to find a box of about 100 NOS steppers that have these on them so they are not something that i could give you a link to. Also if i got rid of these that would be the last i could offer. Not a continuous supply.

Make a motor plate, it should be 8 point star shaped, the soze of the nema motor, rotated 45 degrees. On each corner drill a hole for the M3 screws. One set of rotated holes mount to the motor, another set mount to the frame. Use rubber grommets in each hole. Abracadabra, completely isolated motors.
