Anyone know what Kluber Grease is? By the looks of the cost, it must be a controlled substance
yeah i use it on my cnc, but you’re only meant to use a tiny amount most people slather it on
What’s in it that makes it so expensive? I was planning on using lithium grease. I don’t know how people could afford using it. How often do you use it? What does it do that other lubricants can’t?
https://www.allworldmachinery.com/images/uploads/files/KLUBER_LUBRICATION_SPECIALTY.pdf i used it for bearings in my spindle etc and ballscrews. using a a syringe to install it versus filling up the whole bearing so the small 50mL lasts for ages so though it seems expensive its not that bad. it is way overkill for us home gamers though, but i dont have to worry about it. like using mobil 1 in your weedwacker
Kluber is just the manufacturer. They make a range of products. We use one of their products at work, it’s kinda like tar you have to heat it up to get it out of the drum then it’s sprayed onto the open gears where it cools and becomes supper sticky. Is this the same stuff? Comes in 200L drums so I’m guessing not.
I don’t think so. I think it’s used as a lubricant
yeah its like a shea butter consistency
I have used some Kluber lubricants on Cement Kiln gears which run at very high temperatures. Yes it is expensive but for what we used it for it was the best.
