Anyone know what that rippling effect is on the sphere? It only happened on one side and only seems to appear when im printing spheres, thanks
Usually alignment or layer depth issues (I think).
I had something similar, alignment was good, turned out to be uneven cooling, needed a better symmetric fan duct
@James_Nelson ahhh that would explain why it was perfectly fine on one side, thanks!
@Matthew_Del_Rosso good deal. Yeah had Original Ultimaker, they’ve since corrected the issue, but I still see a lot of printers with a fan on only one side, terrible. Thingiverse has a bunch of circular fan ducts for various printers, but they’re not as good as dual fans. If you have space on your control board a second fan is the best solution.
Definitely a print cooling issue.
As @Ryan_Carlyle said. Cooling issue. Put a small fan on the other side and it will go away
A good quality fan is your solution
i solved this problem by this way
@James_Nelson had the same. Changed my cooling to be more even from all sides and the problem disappeared
This is caused by overhang.
You need to either as supports, try lower the layer height. Or print 2 halves and stick them together
Lastly, more cooling…
