Anyone know where to find these Omni-Block NANO2 fuses (in Europe or from Asia), as used on the RAMBo board? The only places that seem to carry them are Farnell (minimum order, shipping, …) or ebay sellers from the UK that charge almost 30€ for a set of 10.
If only there was some device around that could print you a fuse adaptor, so that you could use an available fuse type…
Have you looked at Farnell’s sister company CPC, they seem to be a fraction of the Farnell price http://cpc.farnell.com/littelfuse/0452005mrl/fuse-smd-antisurge-nanofuse-5a/dp/FF01226
@VolksTrieb unfortunately, they only carry a 4A version in the correct dimensions.
Now, i hadn’t realized these were just simple SMD fuses, originally intended for soldering - i always thought they were specifically made for the Omni-Block holders. Just searching for “SMD fuse” and then going by dimension sure widened up the range of what’s available.
Why don’t just short it and use outside fuse, some regular, one you can get even on Sundays?
@Thomas_Sanladerer you can send us a short mail, then I can order it for you
@Thomas_Sanladerer I ordered some from aliexpress, search for " SMD Fuses 1808". I don’t know if they fit your socket but it locks similar. Size is 6.1x2.69mm. I got these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/LF-genuine-original-SMD-Fuses-1808-10A-fuse-gold-pin-LF10A-disposable-CQWYJZ/32468762215.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.91.kjhbdX
Rs-componts ?
Your extruders and heating bed doesn’t need to have polarity.
@Daniel_F thanks for that - 1808 is exactly the denomination i was looking for!
@Aaron_Kable same as with Farnell…
@Scottie_D369 even on the input?
@Scottie_D369 only on the output…
I am talking about the green terminals. Input would have it’s own connector and no need for a label it goes in only one way.
@Scottie_D369 well but if you use a solid state relais as i am you need to know it on the output
@Scottie_D369 If you use the output to drive a MOSFET or a solid state relay then you absolutely do need to be aware of the output polarity.
@Thomas_Sanladerer - not sure if there’s anything from Rapid, they have no min order - https://www.rapidonline.com/Catalogue/Search?filterSearchScope=1&filterCategoryPathROOT%2FFuses+%26+Circuit+Breakers=SMD+Fuses&filterCategoryPathROOT=Fuses+%26+Circuit+Breakers&filterDiscontinued=False&filterCurrent~~A=10&sourceRefKey=9-XhVCB-0&keywords=*
Not sure, but I beleive http://digikey.com doesn’t the minimum order.
could always solder on some pig tails to teh existing fuse holder then solder a 5A glass fuse to their ends. Cheap as chips and readily available.
