Anyone out there printing with HIPS?
what are you using on your beds? Glue stick?
what are your temps?
I’m having a hell of a time getting bed adhesion on my lulzbots with their parameters.

I used “ABS” heat bed temps 100˚C or so, on Kapton tape with ABS slurry. I haven’t experimented much though. I needed to tune my machine better and haven’t gotten back to HIPS support since.
HIPS is practically identical to ABS. You just need slightly lower heatbed temps because the glass point is a little lower.
Yes, we build with HIPS on our Lulzbots and Z-Morphs. We extrude at around 220°C and run the bed at 50°C. Most of the time we coat the bed with ABS juice. The Lulzbot beds are covered in PE tape, the Z-Morphs are plain glass coated in ABS juice. Are you having issues on the first layer, or is it coming unstuck later on in the build?
I get about 2 layers before the whole part lifts. I got pretty solid results last night at 230 nozzle 100 bed with elmers gluestick on PET tape. ABS juice is hard because Safety isnt all about Acetone in our office buildings.
Huh. I’ve heard very good things about Elmer’s glue stick.
The problems I was having were at 50-90c. At 100 I am getting great adhesion over the time of the print with easy part removal when cool
100-110C and Aquanet Hairspray on glas. I love printing with HIPS, sticks crazy easy for me.
