Anyone tried V1.70 Beta ?
Ran it two nights ago. Had a weird issue where it seemed like it was dropping a segment - the print shifted. The printer would pause for a moment, then continue, and is no longer in alignment. No clunks like if it was a mechanical issue and the stepper motor dropped steps. 2 different models.
Printed last night, same gcode, from a linux PC with pronterface, and it didn’t display the same dropped segment.
I wasn’t sure if it was the Beta Slic3r 1.1.2 or GCodePrintr until last night. Looks like it was GCodePrintr.
I don’t have any logs for you, and won’t have any time to try to reproduce the issue until this weekend.
Turn logging on, stop the print right after I see the issue, and send the files your way?
@Mike_Creuzer hm. Did you see timeout messages in the console?
I’d seen a lot of timeout messages scroll the screen and it printed just fine, so I didn’t correlate those messages with these specific incidents. I’d also seen a garbage collection message, but again, couldn’t correlate it to the flaw in the print.
I will pay better attention when I test again. I may get a chance to test tonight, I have a bunch of 1 hour prints to run off. Maybe I will do one with GCodePrintr to see what there is to see now that I know the prints are valid gcode files.
@Mike_Creuzer could you please try with the new dynamic timeout option to see if the messages still appear ?
