Anyone used the aluminum profiles in their DIY 3D printers? Björn Marl ?

Anyone used the #Motedis aluminum profiles in their DIY 3D printers? @Bjorn_Marl ?

I find it quite difficult to find good affordable aluminum extrusions here in Sweden/Europe but Motedis are definately in the right price range even with the shipping from Germany.

What’s your experience with the Motedis profiles regarding quality, precision, straightness, and in general?

I considered using their rollers for carriages directly against the profile but as the rollers contact surface does not seem slanted I guess there is some slop/wiggle against the sides when rolling in the slot?

Looks like a total of $70US (52 euro) for 5 meters of 2020 to sweden; this is where @Tim_Rastall gets his T-slot.

I got most of my profiles from here http://stores.ebay.de/Aluprofiltechnik
They only seem to ship to Germany. I have no experience with Motedis

Yep, I am using them on a new build. I am very satisfied with the profiles and everything else I ordered from them.
They shipped to the Netherlands. No problemo.

@Rien_Stouten did you purchase any of the roller wheels?

no, sorry, only the extrusion profile and everything necesary to bolt it all toghether. High quality materials, everything precision cut.
No complaints here.

@Rien_Stouten B-type 20x20 profiles? Corner brackets/cube connectors/bracketless? Any build log or pictures of the machine?

I’m planning to try a frame out of I-Type 20x20 and 40x20 profiles
but combine them with V-Slot Mini-V linear actuator kits for the moving parts.
(in my case the gantry moves up and down a vertical wall of a cubic setup instead of on the top because it moves a gripper instead of an extruder.)
Both can use M5 machine bolts. So combining them should be easy.
