Apart from the obvious jokes, what is peoples opinion of smoothing PLA with Chloroform?

I’ve heard of people saying Tetrahydrofuran (THF) does the job. I’ve never heard if chloroform works for smoothing. If you have any reason to believe it can, give it a shot. Either way, stay safe.

No, I only keep it to smooth out plastic parts! Honestly!

Worked ok, testing on a bad print didn’t help. Need to improve my technique though!

Going to try again but with longer time hoping for more consistent result. If you have chloroform lying about try it

nasty stuff. Acetone is somewhat safer.

Acetone will not work in pla
