Are the guys from Pirate 3D real pirates or just sloppy with licences?
2 Months ago I saw some postings tat the buccaneer is using Marlin firmware on the buccy board.
I asked them where I could download the firmware. There response was:
“We suggest you try googling for it. The code is publicly available.”
I can not find it with google.
They should provide a link on their website. Or at least give a link when people ask for the source.
Can someone point me to the pirate3D modifications?
I expect that like other 3D kickstarter projects (although this one looks like it shipped) they were kind of busy 
I’m guessing they didn’t guess you were EvdZ either. The V2/V3 requirements really only kick in after they ship product so perhaps it is on their todo list.
@Chuck_McManis When the product that incorporates the software ships the source needs to be available and they need to provide better direction where to find it. Being busy is no excuse for violating the license. The product is in the wild, though in limited fashion. The source should be there as well but it’s not.
