Are there any “do’s” and “don’ts”, general recommendations as for which led strips are best for an ambilight project (TV+HTPC)?
I’ve got 5m of 60 pixels/m WS2812B leds before I realized, that most of the current ambilight projects work with the older “ala-Adalight” WS2801 leds.
I’v got my leds working with boblight, but not yet happy with the results.
Long story short - is there a significant/any difference in how many leds to put around the screen - 12/m vs 32/m vs 60/m vs … ?
I’m starting to think that, maybe, going the classic Adalight path (http://learn.adafruit.com/adalight-diy-ambient-tv-lighting) would be less of a hassle?
