Are there any plans for the gcode viewer in CP to render out gcode’s with a A Axis? As of now, it looks like a stretched barcode.
This has been talked about but would you be up for forking the 3d viewer and seeing if you can get it to work?
I don’t even know where to begin with that.
Could you send over any sample Gcode and perhaps what it should look like in the 3D viewer? I had a need over the weekend to do some 4th axis work so I was craving the same thing as you, but I’m trying to get my bearings straight on how to show 4th axis visually? I presume I would just wrap XYZ data around a cylinder and calculate their new XYZ values?
Ok, and then any picture of how this should render correctly?
Did any of that help?
Yes it did. Thanks.
Made any progress on this?
No. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it for a long while. I’m
trying to get the new Serial Port JSON Server released and it’s been a lot
of work.
