Argh, Got my @Printrbot Simple rebuilt from beta to shipping version and find the plywood piece for the bed is bowed diagonally. I kept trying to get it level but it seemed haunted. I put a piece of glass on to and can kind of print but the back corner of the glass is off the bed 1.05mm (using stacked feeler gauges).
So close. Again a hitch and delay.
Is there an upgrade kit for those that got the beta?
Heating plywood makes it warp. You need MDF or cast-aluminium. That won’t warp.
Never buy a wood printer.
@Jeff_Karpinski I’m going to get some glass cut today.
@Jim_Peterson There was an email sent out to Beta owners a month ago about the upgrade. It cost a bit fo mail it. Now I’m not sure it was worth doing. I had the Beta all tweaked in.
