Aria the dragon by Louise Driggers printed in CopperFill on an Orion Delta printer

Aria the dragon by @Louise_Driggers printed in CopperFill on an Orion Delta printer from SeeMeCNC.

Sliced in CURA with 100micron layer height, 30/40 speed/feed, retraction dist 3mm, 90mm/s speed.

Artifacts and bits come right off with fingers. Slower speeds should reduce the excess.

Before letting it loose in the tumbler, thought I’d snap a few pics - might just break into pieces. Using brass Phillips screws as medium in a Lortone rotary tumbler.

That print looks pretty rough…

I think she’ll probably break in a tumbler, you might be better off using a Dremel. I sculpted in an open mouth, which while was interesting to do, was probably a design mistake for a model meant to be printed small.

Didn’t expect excellent quality using copperFill straight off the bed, tho I’m hopeful the tumbling process will smooth it out a bit.

Although it feels heavy, we’ll see how it fairs after a few hours of tumbling. Maybe it will survive.

So… This wasn’t 3d printed??

Yea, it was. 3D printed using copper PLA composite filament from ColorFabb.

Nice print Noe! Glad to see someone putting the new CopperFill to the test, especially @ 100microns. Was this printed on your Taz 4?

Ahhh sorry man, missed that part in the description. Keep up the killer work/videos via Adafruit, the 3DP community really enjoys your projects!

@Greg_Carron_pixeladd Many thanks, much appreciated!
