ArtCAM, 3040, TinyG and Chilipeppr are amazing tools. This is an STL test to see how much detail I can get from MDF. I see the Chinese company that makes the 3040 has a new machine with a coolant system designed for metal engraving and I know ArtCAM is being used for Canada’s coins. They also have a 5 axis machine… hmmm. real 3d would be killer for CNC artists…

Very nice detail. What cutting tool did you use?

One of the engraver bits that come with the machine. They are super cheap but I have broken a number of them.
