As far as #3Dprinting uses go we think this is pretty sweet. 3DPRINTUK print competition winner’s skateboard. Just don’t be grinding any rails on it > Web Server's Default Page

I can’t think of any printable material that is strong enough for a working skateboard.
@Shachar_Weis It would only have to be flexible. You would laminate it along with the wood/fiberglass structure of the board, I would think.
Yeah I didn’t think of that. That can work, I thought this was an entire board printed.
I agree though, you probably couldn’t make a board like he did in this video that would be strong enough.
@Shachar_Weis plain ol’ ABS should be strong enough if the deck is properly designed for the plastic. Might turn out a bit thicker than a wooden one, but i think it’s totally feasible.
Cool…cool…you printed a skateboard…now let me see so grind on that thing
Early polymer boards were nylon, its possible if layers were at different angles I should imagine.
I think if you could print a whole deck as one piece it would be pretty sturdy stuff, the joints due to build area size are what make this a less sturdy piece. The designer is quick to point out that this is an art piece.
