Ever thought about creating this as a browser app? I thought really hard about the trade-offs of a desktop app vs browser app and went browser for ChiliPeppr given the state of how good they are now.
Yep, thats exactly why I made it offline. The idea of being tied to browser does not seem a good one for me. But thank you for your opinion, ChiliPeppr is really awesome thing!
A negative to tying yourself to a specific operating system is that you immediately exclude a large market of users. I use both Windows and Mac but have not used and have no interest in using Ubuntu. I really would like to give your program a try but will be unable due to the operating system restriction. Any possibility of making a Windows or Mac version? If not, I do wish you the best of luck in developing your software.
Well I wont call writing in python a “tying”, it is crossplatform. It is now just a matter of packaging. I have ubuntu, so I created package for it, but it doesnt mean you cant install the program on windows or mac, it is just not packaged for these systems (thus some effort may be required to install on non-linux os). Anyway, if you are happy with chilipeppr, then BCAM is just not for you. I mean chilipeppr is better option for now if you dont mind it being a browser script.
