Wow! That’s an expensive BeagleBoard.
too expensive,
What is this board’s job that it warrants this price tag?
The BeagleBone series cost between USD 35 and 70. In turn you get a gig of RAM, at least 4 GB eMMC for boot, two PRUs, pinouts like a porcupine’s victim, USB, some from of internet (wired or wifi). At that price point, it makes the non-modular RAM and storage a value because it’s rugged enough for projects.
In contrast, this costs $270 – about the cost of five BBBs.
Pros:
• newer CPU
• twice the fixed RAM
• heatsinks
• dual NICs
• full HDMI port (no converter needed)
Cons:
• eMMC drive is still only 4 GB, which requires squeezing down a full Linux distro
• PRU I/O slots are on the bottom and seem to require a converter
• only slightly cheaper than a Celeron NUC
I assume this isn’t really meant for amateur projects.
