Been helping @Mike_Kelly_Mike_Make implement the DeltaMaker style touch probe using a cheap solenoid. Required some Marlin modifications, but he’s finally got it, it looks like!

My boss couldn’t github his way out of a paper bag, so I had to hunt down some of the code that had been giving to me offhand internally, but looks like this implementation was simple enough of a code change that it could be pushed up to mainline marlin.

retty neat! What solenoid did you use? Can’t see much detail in the video. Good job!

Thunder stolen! lol, this wouldn’t have been possible without your help. I’ll post a recap soon

@Brook_Drumm https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11015 - trap a long-armed switch under the head of the solenoid. I have some pictures that I posted a while back.

Ok, this is too cool. Will have to build one for my Rep2

This looks sweet! It should work on any print surface. I’m looking at you, garolite.

Very nice!

I’m also very interested in this. Anyway to post some build pic’s?

Mike check my other post

@Mike_Kelly_Mike_Make thanks I didn’t see it before but @ThantiK pointed me to it.
