Best material to 3D print drumsticks that may be partially hollow?
ABS would be my choice. Either that or nylon. If you print them vertically then you should be most concerned about layer adhesion over the material itself. Just my .02
Im probably gonna tape them up with colored electrical tape as well or cover them in clear silicon to help hold it together but i plan to actually play with them lol
Larger nozzles help increase the strength between layers, at least on ABS I have been using a 1.0mm nozzle, with thick perimeters, 3 to 4 mm across and. 4 to .8 layer height. I put one of the parts in liquid nitrogen to freeze it so I could throw it on the floor to shatter it. It shattered. When I examined the pieces, you couldn’t even see the layers internally. It looked injection molded.
