Board not powering on

Hi, I started stetting up my smoothieboard v1.1 and it was mostly working. the motors were moving the hotted was heating up etc… The printer wasn’t finished yet though, part cooling fan and details like that still needed to be completed. I noticed the some wired resistance/clicking on the X-axis so I checked the belt and narrowed down the problem to the motor, but when I unplugged the motor and swapped it with the Y-axis the problem moved to the Y-axis. So at this point I was sure the problem was coming the board. I plugged in the board as usual, it starts with 5V and then the board tigers a relay to turn on the 24V supply. but once. plugged it in the board made a loud pop and started smoking. I immediately unplugged the board and the motors. Now the motor has the same issue when the board is off, but the board won’t even turn on. I tried the regular 5v input as usual and the usb but the board doesn’t respond.

This sounds like you had a short or ground loop issue …

Do any of the LEDs on the board turn on ?

Only the VBB when I plug in 24v, but no logic 5v or anything like that.

Edit: the X-axis is still stiffer than the others, (with the same current specified in the configuration).
